Come to the DAI to celebrate the works of renowned 20th Century Irish author, James Joyce!
From June 10th to June 16th we'll be paying homage to the man behind such classics as Dubliners (1914), A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (1916), Ulysses (1922), and Finnegan's Wake (1939) with a variety of activities!

The DAI is thrilled to welcome Robert Berry for a public reading of
his graphic novel adaptation of James Joyce's most famous work, Ulysses "Seen."

Saturday June 15th --> 20:00
Rounding out the Bloomsday festivities, the DAI is happy to present
a public reading of James Joyce's Ulysses by celebrated voice
and theater actor and Heidelberg native, Rufus Beck.
For those unfamiliar with Beck's work, he is the voice actor behind
the German adaptations of JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings
and JK Rowling's Harry Potter.
The evening is topped off with the talented Irish music band Fleadh!

Join us for a walk around beautiful Heidelberg during the Ulysses Walk. Readings from James Joyce's Ulysses will be read aloud (auf Deutsch) at various city locations. Barbara Walz, Ralf Keifert, Konrad Lamour, and Thomas Knorra will be the guest readers.
